The 2019/2020 opera season may have ended early, but that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy some fabulous performances this summer.
The Royal Opera House Muscat is keeping its dedicated fans entertained by uploading show recordings to its YouTube channel.
So far, the opera house has uploaded a recording of Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte (The Magic Flute), and the National Centre for Performing Arts Orchestra of China performing both Beethoven’s Symphony no.1 in C major and Symphony no.6 in F major..
The Magic Flute is about a boy whose favourite video game becomes reality and he has to fight for his life, in this modern version of the show which is aimed at drawing in younger listeners to opera.
You can check out the recordings on the Royal Opera House Muscat’s YouTube page here.
