We don’t know about you, but whenever we visit a new city, there’s only one thing on our minds: food. And if you’re looking for some of the best food in Muscat, and all kinds of cuisines under one roof, you need to head to Al Bustan Palace, A Ritz-Carlton Hotel.

Following extensive renovations, the hotel now has six different food and beverage outlets.

These include one of the best Asian eateries in Muscat, a beach grill serving up the freshest catch of the day and a brilliant Friday brunch, and a poolside bar giving you fantastic views over the Gulf of Oman.

No matter what you’re looking for, there’s a good chance you’ll find it in Al Bustan Palace.

Looking to treat your special someone? Head to the Atrium Lounge for afternoon tea, where they’ll be dazzled as they dine under the glitzy 125 ft dome.

On the hunt for some traditional Omani food? Visit Al Khiran Kitchen, where you can enjoy local favourites such as shuwa and kunafa, along with international favourites on the extensive buffet, all while enjoying the Omani weather out on the terrace.

And if you’re just looking for a casual bite, you can head to poolside bar BLU which overlooks the sea. Here you can grab snacks, lights meals and great mixed drinks.

A new addition to the resort’s line-up of restaurants is Turkuaz. Originally a pop-up, it proved so popular the hotel brought it back permanently. You’ll be able to get hot and cold mezze, freshly baked bread and Turkish tea and coffee.

Designed to look like a traditional tea house, the popular China Mood is one of the best Chinese restaurants in Muscat with dishes from all over the country, complemented by the spectacular show offered by the tea sommelier every night. Diners can enjoy the outdoor terrace with views over the resort’s gardens and beach.

One of the best parts about visiting Muscat is how close you are to the sea, and there’s no better way to appreciate this than at Beach Pavilion Bar & Grill.

Here, you’ll get to experience the best of the Gulf of Oman, with the freshest seafood and the experience of dining literally right on the beach.

The venue is also the place to be on Friday, where a superb family brunch is offered, with live band entertainment and sea views all around.

We’ll see you there.
