You can now shop at Mawaleh Central Market in Seeb online

You can now shop for fruit and vegetables from the Mawaleh Central Market in Seeb from the comfort of your home.

Athmar, a new online platform, has just signed a memorandum of understanding with the Oman Technology Fund (OTF) to provide the service.

Sellers who operate from the market will be able to sell their produce on the website, while customers will be able to browse from their own homes.

You can search by product or visit individual traders’ stores.

The news comes after a new medicine delivery service was launched in Muscat last week.

Wareed, which has been partially funded by the Oman Technology Fund, will deliver medicines for chronic diseases such as diabetes, blood pressure and heart disease across the capital.

Last year, Talabat teamed up with Carrefour to launch online grocery delivery in Oman.

Plus, the Omani version of ASOS - Jeeblee Online - launched back in September.
