Oman Police lockdown market in Jalan Bani Bu Ali until further notice

The Royal Oman Police have locked down the market area near the state hospital in the Wilayat of Jalan Bani Bu Ali.

The area will be isolated from April 16 until further notice.

In a statement issued online, the Royal Oman Police said, “ROP is drawing the attention of all residents of Wilayat of Jalan Bani Bu Ali that the commercial market area near the state hospital will be isolated, starting from 4am today, Thursday until another notice.

“Hoping everyone to cooperate in order to preserve the public good.”

A number of areas in Oman have been locked down in recent weeks in a bid to stop the spread of coronavirus.

Access to the governorate of Muscat will be restricted between April 10 and April 22, while the wilyat of Muttrah has been shut off since April 1.

Travel between the governorates has already been restricted to stop the spread of coronavirus in the Sultanate.
