Oman population now made up of 41.7% expats

The number is a slight decrease from the end of last year

Oman’s population is now 41.7 percent expat, with nearly two million foreigners making the country their home.

According to the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI), there are currently 1,936,830 expats out of the 4,645,249 people living in the Sultanate.

The quarterly statistics show a slight decrease in the number of expats living in Oman compared to the end of 2019.

Expats are mostly concentrated in Muscat, with 870,544 making the governorate their home.
