Checkpoints in place at roads into Oman tourism destinations

Oman's government has installed checkpoints at roads leading to Dhofar, Jebel Shams, Jebel Akhdar and Masirah Island.

The popular tourist spots have been closed off to visitors to stop the spread of Covid-19.

They will remain in place until July 3.

Also, authorities added Duqm to the list of closed destinations. It will also remain out of bounds until July 3.

The checkpoints are manned by the Royal Oman Police.
