Muscat is great place to be a foodie with some great restaurants serving cuisines from all around the world.
Offering an authentic Shanghainese experience, a new restaurant has opened at W Muscat.
Ba Ban aims to transport diners to life in Shanghai in the '20s and '30s.
The new venue serves an ‘authentic menu inspired by the kitchens of China’ as well as beverages created by the on-site mixologists.
With art deco-inspired décor, cosy seating, jewel coloured fabrics and low-lighting, the restaurant aims to set the scene when you arrive.
Open for lunch from noon to 4.30pm Tuesday to Saturdays, you can enjoy dishes such as dim sum, classic Peking duck with a Cantonese twist, silky noodles and mango pomelo sago pudding.
“Stepping in to Ba Ban is entering a bold and sophisticated world of escape that only W hotels can offer. It has the glamour of Paris with the social vibrancy of Shanghai and it’s right here in Muscat, delivering a distinctly W take on Chinese cuisine,” said Gerald Chevasson, general manager of W Muscat.
“With its breathtaking design, and electrifying atmosphere, Ba Ban is the place to reminisce about the good times passed and make new memories to last a lifetime.”
Open Tue- Sat noon-4.30pm. W Muscat, Al Kharjiya Street, Shatti Al-Qurum, www.wmuscat.com.
