Oman Air to suspend flights to and from Bahrain and Egypt

Oman Air will no longer be operating flights to and from Bahrain and Egypt, it has been announced.

The Sultanate’s national carrier will be suspending flights to these destinations from tomorrow (March 19) until further notice.

If you have a booking on one of the flights affected, you should contact the Oman Air call centre on +968 2453 1111.

The move is one of a number of precautionary measures the Sultanate is taking to combat the spread of coronavirus.

These include banning non-Omanis from entering the Sultanatate via sea, land or air ports, and stopping Omanis from leaving the country.

All tourist sites have been closed, and you are no longer allowed to assemble in public areas such as beaches, parks, wadis or mountains.

Shops, with the exception of grocery stores, clinics and pharmacies, will be closed. Traditional souqs and marketplaces have also been closed.

Restaurants are no longer allow to serve food, with the exception of takeaway orders.
