Omani citizens can now enter the UAE

From today (Monday June 22), Omani citizens can enter the UAE.

The Sultanate's Embassy in the neighbouring country's capital Abu Dhabi confirmed the news in a statement.

It said: "The Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Abu Dhabi notes that Omani citizens who have permission to enter the the United Arab Emirates must provide a medical certificate (PCR) confirming that they are free of the coronavirus from one of the hospitals and medical centres accredited by the Ministry of Health in the Sultanate."

"The embassy also notes that the medical certificate is compulsory to enter the country as of June 22, 2020, in the context of the measures taken by the United Arab Emirates to limit the spread of the Coronavirus."
