Muscat International Airport travellers will have to arrive four hours before flight

Travellers flying out of Muscat International Airport will have to arrive between three and four hours before their departure time, Oman Airports has announced.

A number of new safety measures have been introduced due to the coronavirus pandemic.

In a statement, Oman Airports said, “Before travelling, departing passengers are recommended to complete their travel procedures online and use e-tickets.

“Passengers are allowed to carry only one handbag, and must arrive at the airport three to four hours before the flight departure time.”

The news comes after Oman airports unveiled new safety measures including temperature checks and personal sanitising devices at the terminal entrance.

Hand sanitisers will be provided throughout the terminal, and facilities will be regularly santitised by staff.

There will be self-service check-in counters, as well as social distancing stickers on floors and seats.
